After a long day, I decided to see Hoppers, an animated film. The story is simple. A young girl, Mabel, tries to stop the mayor Beaverton from building a bridge that goes through a Beaver colony. Upon following an inauspicious Beaver, she discovers an experiment her college professor had been conducting: a technology of mind hopping that makes it possible for thoughts to be transferred to a robotic replica of a beaver.
This story is about redemption and the realization of how one action can affect all those around us. Like always, I will not go into details. As a film major in college, I know how hard it is to make a movie, so I always want my fellow film colleagues' efforts to be fully realized by people watching their work whether in Netflix, Disney+, YouTube Premium, or theaters.
I will begin a rating system from now on that will be between 1-10. 1, being the worst and 10 being the best.
HOPPERS deserves a 9 out of 10, a must see. Highly recommended.
